The Altar

An altar is the hathpace specially for sacrificing gods and ancestors.
There is an altar on Crown Prince Slope, which was built in the early years of the Ming Dynasty. The altar is composed of three parts: base, wall and rails which were all made of stones. The altar is the only one which is preserved intactly in Wudang Mountains. There is one big clock in the pavilion; when people hit it, around all the mountains aroud echo the ding.
